Scale Drill

Practice every scale type across all 18 keys — major, natural, harmonic and melodic minor, modes, pentatonics, and blues. A structured tempo ladder advances automatically: stay accurate and the drill bumps the BPM; stumble and it eases back. Connect a MIDI keyboard for note-by-note feedback, or use the on-screen keys.

Adaptive scale drills with bronze, silver, and gold mastery tiers. Play each scale ascending on your MIDI instrument or computer keyboard, one note at a time.

Start at Bronze and graduate at 50% accuracy. Counts decrease first (4 → 1), then tempo bumps up.

How to use

  • Connect a MIDI keyboard for note-by-note grading, or switch to the on-screen / computer keys if you do not have one handy.
  • Pick a difficulty and, optionally, a single scale type to focus your session.
  • Play each scale shown — ascending, one note at a time — in time with the metronome.
  • Stay accurate to graduate to a faster tempo; the ladder backs off automatically when you slip.
  • Review your bronze / silver / gold deck after each session to see your strongest and weakest scales.
