F/A Piano Chord
F/A is a F Major chord played over a A bass note. Because A is the 3rd of F Major, F/A is simply F Major in 1st inversion — the same notes, with the 3rd moved to the bottom.
The dark key is the bass note (A); the coloured keys are the F Major chord tones.
Notes in F/A
Low to high: A (bass) , then F – A – C.
How to play F/A
Play the bass note A low in your left hand, and the F Major chord (F – A – C) in your right. Because it's an inversion, the bass is already one of the chord tones — you're just voicing F Major with its 3rd on the bottom.
