Minor 6 Pentatonic Scales on Piano

The minor 6 pentatonic scale replaces the flat 7th of the standard minor pentatonic with a natural 6th, producing a five-note scale with a lighter, more melodic minor character. It works well over minor 6th chords and Dorian-flavored harmony, and is common in jazz, R&B, and neo-soul improvisation where the natural 6th adds warmth without the blues edge of the ♭7.
